Negative taken for July 5, 1961, Arkansas Gazette article "A Scenic Drive to Higden - A Town that Water Moved," B1:2. The last suspension bridge, named the Higden Bridge, to have been built in Arkansas, in 1949. The Higden Bridge crosses the Little Red River, near Higden, Cleburne County, Arkansas. The Higden Bridge is a temporary 'low-water' bridge built when the old suspension bridge nearby was declared unsafe.
